New Checkout Update for Digital Downloads FAQ
You may notice a new checkbox during checkout when purchasing digital products from our shop.
To comply with the latest EU consumer protection rules for digital content (EU Directive 2023/2673), We've added a quick confirmation before payment. Below are answers to the most common questions you might have.
Why this Update is mandatory for the shop?
After June,19 2026, merchants without a compliant withdrawal feature risk:
- Legal warnings
- Fines (up to 4% of annual turnover in some member states)
- Extended withdrawal period; the 14-day period may be extended to 12 months and 14 days (for non-digital products)

1. Why is there a new checkbox?
Digital products are delivered automatically immediately after payment.
Because of this, EU consumer law requires customers to expressly request immediate delivery and acknowledge that the standard 14-day withdrawal (cooling-off) period no longer applies once delivery of digital product begins.

2. Why wasn't this here before?
Consumer protection rules for digital products have evolved, and we want to make sure our shop follows the latest requirements and provides clear information before every purchase.
3. Am I giving up all of my consumer rights?
No.
The checkbox only confirms that you want your digital download delivered immediately after payment and understand that the 14-day withdrawal right no longer applies once delivery begins.
Your other consumer rights remain unchanged.
If you receive the wrong file or experience a technical issue with your download, we're always happy to help.
4. What is the 14-day withdrawal right?
Normally, customers in the EU have 14 days to cancel many online purchases.
Digital downloads are different.
When you ask for immediate delivery and receive the files right away, the withdrawal right ends once delivery begins.
5. Why do I have to agree before paying?
The law requires that your consent is given before the digital content is delivered.
Since our digital products are available immediately after payment, We need your confirmation before your order can be completed.
6. What happens if I don't check the box?
The checkout won't continue.
You can simply check the box if you would like to receive your files immediately after payment.

7. Does this delay my download?
Not at all.
Your files are still delivered immediately after your payment is completed.
The checkbox only adds a quick confirmation before checkout.
8. Can I still receive help if I have a problem?
Absolutely!
If your files don't download correctly, you receive the wrong files, or something isn't working as expected, please contact me.
We'll do our best to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
9. Does this apply to every product?
Only to digital products that are delivered electronically immediately after payment.
